craving Chippy fish and chips
went out for dinner with Aur last night at Raffles City. while waiting for her, i got a marked-down Topshop shopper for only $9. i love the print. (: there’s this Accessorize cream long wallet with silver zebra prints that i was debating whether to get for $16. Dorothy Perkins has a fairly pretty black quilted clutch. and the River Island sale here is much better than the outlet at Vivo City. i saw this lovely white halter-neck tank with blue bohemian prints, a soft aquamarine sweater, a pair of tweed high-waisted shorts and a pair of pin-stripped shorts. gorgeous bottoms, but like $50 each.
initially, i wanted to eat Chippy’s beer battered fish & chips. but the line was too bloody long. so we ended up at the food court, eating highly overpriced food. oh well, but at least my beef ball noodles tasted decent. still, $4 is way too much for just noodles and meat balls. they didn’t even give me bean sprouts! >:
after dinner, we were still empty around the middle, so we went wandering around the basement again. Aur got her raspberry chocolate donut, and i went with a small bag of fries from MOS Burger because Burger King onion rings are expensive.
we went walking towards and at the Esplanade via the underpass. i want to go to the Tizzy Bac concert! we spent some time in the movie memorabilia shop and their merchandise shop, where they had t-shirts selling at 2 for $9.90. they also had pretty pouches and stuff. yay. they had a Chocz there! tempting cakes. :O
was watching Entertainment Tonight as i blog. it’s amazing how many news stories they can throw in within 4 minutes or so. i was counting. i guess this is what we are learning as communication students, and perhaps future writers for television.
today’s episode contains pretty interesting celebrity news and gossip, including more about Woody Allen’s upcoming Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Javier Bardem who stars in it, kind of reminds me of Jeffrey Dean Morgan from Grey’s Anatomy, P.S. I Love You, etc. and Justin Timberlake in The Love Guru is … weird. i totally need to stop reading celebrity news blogs with all those paparazzi photos. admittedly, it’s kind of addictive being a voyeur in someone else’s life.
still, the whole idea of sinking deep into some sort of fandom obsession puts me off right now. i re-read this blog which translates Yamapi’s blog entries yesterday night. and on Sunday, after i got home from dinner with Aur and Mint, i felt this urge to read the old manga i own e.g. Shinjo Mayu. while i was telling that to Aur a couple of days ago, naturally, we then moved on to talk about yaoi manga. a lot of yaoi manga scanlation groups have closed down, which is awfully sad, and i applaud all those remaining, or new ones.
anyway, it just reminded me how long it’s been since i last read yaoi manga. my favorite mangakas were Ayano Yamane and Masara Minase, for their gorgeous art. so this morning, i took a few hours off to re-read Love Mode. then i re-watched Suburban Girl over lunch. i love the music in that movie. (:
spent the rest of the afternoon sending out sponsorship requests. i wanted to call up some companies, but i think i want to confirm some stuff over tomorrow’s meeting first so i sound more confident. so i have a camp meeting tomorrow afternoon. sadly, had to cancel on Cheryl and our ice-skating plans.
and the game shows are coming up on telly next! The Price Is Right! (: yay! lol, someone just won an extra $11,000 just from spinning the price wheel.
… something smells really good right now. probably some neighbour’s cooking. making me kind of hungry. so i’m going to go have dinner with my mom now!
