happy coincidences
i do love the occasional happy surprise like yesterday; as well as happy coincidences.
i got a call earlier this afternoon from my cousin. he told me he got me peanuts from his recent drive into Malaysia. he’s leaving them at my grandparents’ place for me to pick up whenever. it’s really thoughtful of him because the last time i mentioned those peanuts, it was really a passing joking remark.
a few weeks ago, he was telling me he went to Johor Bahru on the sly with his friends earlier, and i joked about why he didn’t think to bring me back some peanuts. and this time, he remembered and did just that. the coincidental bit comes in, because i only just randomly mentioned his little sojourn to my Dad yesterday. hence, what is not to love about coincidences if they bring you peanuts! (: <3
i’m tempted to download videos of old seasons of So You Think You Can Dance from YouTube, convert and dump into my iPod. i particularly enjoy the contemporary performances choreographed by Mia Michaels. i watched the first episode of Dirty Sexy Money which aired on Wednesday night. but i missed the first episode of Samantha Who. it’s nice how local television is bringing in all these series lately, albeit much later from their original broadcast in the States. which is why it’s better to download stuff like House and Pushing Daisies. can’t wait for season four of Grey’s Anatomy to be out on DVD. and summer telly options!
this weekend, everyone’s crazy about Sex & The City and the clothes. the movie debuts at the theaters, and the media has been covering it x 38702991 weeks beforehand. i still have never watched the television show myself. and all this media hype is making me real curious.
this Alloy knit cardigan was just sold for $54 on straitmooks. it’s a gorgeous piece, but omg, pretty hefty price. Dragonfly on willlove is pretty. lollyrouge had it in a different color once, but more expensive. matildasmiles is having a sale on its accessories, including card necklaces (peter rabbit), bangles and boyfriend shirts. i would be interested in the serpent bangles and glassbead necklace, but the photos aren’t too clear. epollyanna has kimono tops/dresses, tube dresses but the prints aren’t very exciting. the chiffon kimono top on catwalkclose, however, i like. but it’s all sold. :3
New York Times recently covered how clothes are cheaper than before, excepting luxury fashion. and how to dress for less. (:
USAToday gives you ‘10 great places to take a literary hike’. and NYT presents ‘31 places to go this summer’.
