go away, wooziness
finally my MacBook’s battery seems to be charging.
today has been a moo day. i woke up feeling all woozy and crap (must be all the tiredness creeping up on me), so i gave the meeting a miss. the meeting was originally this evening, then they shifted it to morning. i had every intention of going right up till i fell asleep last night. but when i woke up, i felt like my bones weren’t there, and the weather has been just … stormy. it’s been raining all day. like the sky has been saving it up all for today. on and off.
thank god Mint and i cancelled our afternoon plans to go to Haji Lane/Arab Street to shop around for her dress/hat and my scarves. so my Wednesday has turned abruptly free. going to have an early dinner with my sister this evening. not to forget there’s American Idol tonight.
my next couple of days are free. it’s a good thing i emptied out a couple of days because i really do have several things to do. geeky things. like finally load and play Patapon on my PSP. type all the exam papers i got from Weili while watching GA (i just finished re-watching season one). formulate business proposals to pitch to sponsors and follow up. finish reading the Paparazzi proposal and script. study for my driving final theory test. the to-do list runs endlessly. … i have scheduled dinner with JL on Friday night though. we might do Cafe Cartel cake after 9pm too. (: not sure if Kazzie has a meeting tomorrow evening and i’d have to dine alone?
yesterday, went out for a late lunch with Mint at Yoshinoya before we headed to town where we window-shopped along Orchard. met Jeanette at the escalators at Wisma Atria. it was funny, us talking about the rescheduled meeting while i was going down and she up. lol, we never reached a conclusion with our discussion.
F21 bargain racks! and sleepwear from Cotton On Body. and shoes, zomg, i’ve been restraining my roving eyes. (: i’m still big on flip-flops, especially since it’s the summer months. but there’re plenty of pretty summer dresses everywhere e.g. Zara.
we wound up at Kinokuniya where Mint looked around for a cookbook and Aur came to meet us. she passed us our Bunka certificates! yay, danke! Mint also gave us candy she bought in Canada. i snagged a NestlĂ© Coffee Crisp bar from her. but i completely don’t know where i put the stick of gum she gave me.
we walked to The Heeren, because i crave Vi’lage fried calamari. unfortunately, it has closed to give way to Shokudo. which is injustice in its purest form because Shokudo is just plain non-value for money with mediocre food and slow service, if any at all. while we were there, we were semi-conned into spending about a dollar each on a small cube of chocolate. but we felt bad because the lady kept feeding us so much samples even when we tried to move off. also went to check out HMV. yay, Criminal Minds!
so it was Fish & Co. for dinner in the end, which i haven’t had in forever. they have great calamari (which i koped from their seafood platter), and their Sharkie Freeze is still in its gigantic mug. <3 love. and their fries are always too much to finish. sadly, this also meant that we were too full to eat Haato yuzu sorbet. mourns.
i finally checked out the MacBook Air at the Apple retailer at Wheelock Place. zomg, temptation x 23831928109. i’d trade a month of shopping for it. i think. xD … Mint bought a pair of locally-designed funky heels whose colors are like three-tiered mocha cake, i swear. popped by Borders where Mint ran into her friend, before walking to Shaw House for some shopping until the stores closed. we met Ming Lee on the train ride home, which was such a coincidence. (:
Mint called me laster last night and told me our UOB TX card was being discontinued and they are sending us a new card in replacement in snail mail, which apparently comes with vouchers and some free 30-day trial for some online video rental service. it’s so insane, because we were just talking about renting Criminal Minds for like a marathon for this coming Sunday’s sleepover at Aur’s place, while we were at HMV.
i renewed my train concession yesterday too. and the bloody thing is i didn’t know it expired over the weekend, so what happened on Monday was that i was traipsed around Singapore without knowing i was spending money on public transport, and thinking i had concession. god, that’s $8!
Death Cab for Cutie’s new album has a good review from USAToday. Modparade has a clearance sale! what i like in this post, is surprisingly not the brown kimono dress, but the floral pinafore. … and finally, this newspaper article about a seal molesting a penguin, link courtesy of Aur, is more than mildly disturbing.
i caved and got a second puppy on my DS Lite earlier today too. (: it’s another Siberian Husky, this time a female which i named Luna. she’s so smart and adorable. lol, god i want a real dog! … and i need to start playing cooler games. xD;
