Birds of Paradise, soon!
responded to Mint’s thread about the Disney Summer Work experience Programme on FamSpam! omg, Grinder-Man looks amazingly cool. Mint, are you interested while you’re back here for the summer? (:
what i have learned from this semester’s hectic and painful exam schedule. i must plan for classes not only in terms of regular schedule, but also the exam dates. no more evening-morning, evening-morning papers all slotted together. in all ‘over my dead body’ seriousness. i had my first core paper on Tuesday evening, another core paper on Wednesday morning, 804 (thank god it was open book) on Wednesday evening, and this morning, i had my core paper for CR. i can’t even begin to elaborate on how today’s exam drove me to breaking point. i only got home at 10pm last night after my evening paper, and i was so tired, i couldn’t stay awake long enough to finish mugging for CR (also the module i desperately want to excel in). and tomorrow, there’s 204 in the morning. and i need sleep, so i should study, like right now, while it’s daytime. except i don’t seem to have that many notes to go through. so what am i going to do?
i seriously think this screwed up exam schedule is going to be the death of me (partly). gloom, i know for sure this semester is much much worse than the previous. judging from my regular assignment grades, i wonder how i’m going to maintain a decent GPA. i’m going to witness the consequences when results are released.
alas, we are not able to find out who is teaching a particular module during subject registration. and since modules always seem to have different instructors, i guess no one really knows beforehand.
had lunch with Zijie, Thu, Cheryl, Jess and Clement these couple of days after papers! and this is worth blogging about because: no more school food for maybe 3 months during summer vacation! The Quad’s Chinese mixed rice still pwns (i love their fried fish). and Can 2’s beef-ball soup set with fried egg! zomg, love. xD … had dinner with JL last night at Can A too (which is giving way to the new food court). we were lucky, and managed to snag the last few bowls of Japanese food before they ran out of rice. yay, tempura fish don! … and bitter Italian chocolate. <3
missed American Idol last night. this week’s theme: Mariah Carey! o_O eh. … and David Cook rocked (as usual). the story about his 36-year old cancer-stricken brother, Adam, is really sad but it was awesome he could be there to watch him perform. apparently you can see his tears around 1:27 into the video.
i can’t seem to get enough of kimono dresses! unfortunately most of the time the kimono dresses on shopping journals go out of stock really fast. i think Kerryn is particularly pretty in this post. (:
i find myself liking Zooey Deschanel’s singing voice in her band with M. Ward, She & Him. (: i can’t begin to name how many songs i love. and i totally dig the idea of LA Times’ Novel Contest, titled Birds of Paradise. <3 lol, reminds me of the days of fanfiction round-robins!
and finally. the link of the day goes to: The Rolling Exhibition.
