sodagreen sodagreen sodagreen!

omgomgomgflails. Sodagreen on terebi right now! <3

went to the next neighborhood for lunch (omg, i miss Han’s fried rice; the one i had looked good, but the taste left much to be desired) and more importantly, research for snack supplies. the bus’s interior we took there was decorated real interesting. it was red and white; had bar stools and couches instead of the usual seats. just finished typing up and consolidating said research to be emailed. i need to tackle formulating biz plans for Paparazzi already. but this week’s been just packed packed packed with things to do.

yesterday was Kazan’s birthday! otanjobi omedetou! :D … i went shopping at Square 2 and Velocity while waiting for Mom and Kazzie to wrap up a consultation appointment at the skin center. there was this puny ice-skating rink in the middle of the event area at Velocity for kids. there was this cute and lanky Aussie guy facilitating. xD

Velocity has Xcessories which i miss x 12831029021! lol, as Dils would know. i was quite taken by several of the chunky necklaces, and this vintage garden rose translucent scarf which costs only $10. i ended up buying this neck chain made of wood pieces and adorable fish charms.

Square 2’s shops didn’t improve much from the last time i went. but there were some gems. i wanted to get this bat-wing cardigan in cobalt blue/green/black. i did end up buying a pair of royal blue flats. it was a total impulse buy which i almost immediately started regretting. firstly, it wasn’t on sale as i originally thought. and though i love the color, they aren’t exactly the most comfy shoes, with hard backs. when i went to try the shoes, the salesgirl was like, ‘we no longer have it in your size, but we can send over a pair from another outlet’. and i was like, ‘uh well i don’t foresee myself coming back here in the near future’. and then she told me she was talking about the FEP outlet. and the silly thing is, i was intending to go to FEP yesterday. so i was a bit like, ‘uh then it’s okay, i’ll just check it out over there’. and she was like, ‘oh you can pay first and i’ll reserve you a pair you can pick up!’. and in my blurred state, i went along. my eyes widened a little at the (surprise!) price and the fact that i’m now compelled to drop by FEP no matter what. i feel slightly conned throughout the process, honestly, but i guess it can be blamed more on my lapse in concentration due to lack of sleep.

i really liked this pair of faux leather brown buckled flats from Mondo but they didn’t have it in my size. i also fancy this pair of plaid slingbacks/flats; except i suspect Mondo shoes’ recent cutting doesn’t suit me anymore.

picked up my shoes at FEP, bought a blue top from Max & More; and fell in love with about 1871298209 more scarves which i restrained myself from splurging on, but i’m so tempted! i feel like getting the Litmus boxer shorts that this particular shop is selling. which has an outlet at both FEP and Square 2. i love the spring/summer shirts they stock. anyway, i should also stop window-shopping online. huh huh, literally ‘window’-shopping. okay, not funny. it’s just that i saw this brown leather bucket bag retailing for $56 at one of my favorite vintage kooky shop at FEP and i remember seeing something like a cheaper alternative online a few days back. but i’m not inclined to break my fast against online purchases yet. xD

we had an indulgent dinner at Tung Lok Signatures at The Central. CHINESEFOODROCKS. didn’t take photos because we were too busy eating. everything was fantabulous from the tofu dish, to the prawn, their famous roasted pork, mee sua and seasonal specials. swoons. :DDD … i wasn’t as taken by the dessert though (which oddly i have a photo of) – black sesame ice-cream with almond cream; largely because i don’t like almond. strolled around Clarke Quay after that and watched a jazz performance in the middle of the fountain. and watched people get on Xtreme Swing. chortles.

Kazzie’s birthday cake this year is from Chocz! omg, the chocolate truffle cake rocks. it’s so rich and moist. lol, but i think it’s slightly a little too sweet. might be better if the bitterness is more than a tinge. <3

altogether it was a day of happiness. yay. :D

i stayed up until 3am last night to watch Witch Yoo Hee and possibly Coffee Prince next. i cheated, and watched the ending of the latter already actually. oddly, both Mint and Kazzie tell me that Witch Yoo Hee gets draggy after around episode 11 and they stopped watching. uh, but i guess since i only really started watching from episode 9 (only caught snatches of the earlier ones), i guess the disinterest wouldn’t set in that fast. xDDD

this weekend is busy busy again. car wash in the day on Saturday. wondering whether to schedule a dinner date with anyone in the evening since there’s no regular family dinner this week. like Shaun before he leaves for Tokyo? Sunday is another example of my bad scheduling. i forgot about the karaoke outing with my cousins and arranged for lunch with Aur. zomg, feels terrible. o_O

super sleepy. being a morning person sucks because i wake up before 9am no matter what time i get to bed.

Kite Runner is showing in Singapore next year!
