love my new bag from Barcelona!

these couple of days have been busy busy busy busy, and have i mentioned, busy?

Tuesday evening/night was the pretty productive FOC main comm meeting. of course, JY and i came away with more biz plans to formulate. we’re planning to launch a blog to coordinate our fund raising efforts right here on WordPress. zomg, at least it seems for now. xD

Wednesday was shopping day! okay, not really. my mom and sister returned from Europe. and they bought me a bag from Spain! haha, it was some boutique in Barcelona that is really pretty and i love the psuedo-carpetbag shape of it. it’s black with colorful print. it looks a little dark at first glance, but is an absolute treasure. <3 and apparently it costs like over 70 euros or something. O_o i’ve never spent so much on a bag myself. zomg, the extravagance. kyooot. :D

anyway, met up with Shaun for lunch while my family worked off their jet lag. Pizza Hut lunch special at the Plaza Singapura outlet; which is one dollar more expensive than your usual lunch special menu outside of town. their cream of mushroom soup was crap; or like Shaun says, tastes like glue. but i still adore their traditional bolognese! the weird thing is, i asked for linguine since they gave me a choice. but they served me spaghetti instead. which Shaun claims is linguine, but i disagreed because linguine is flat and slightly thicker than your usual thinner spaghetti. and he retorted that that’s fettucine. and we had a mega-bicker over pasta shapes. anyway, i’m convinced they served me spaghetti, because what i got was narrow, and round. and no matter where i Googled, it all claims that linguine is narrow like spaghetti, true, but flat like fettucine. and i’ve eaten linguine x 38472932 before, so what i got sure like hell wasn’t it.

we kind of argued about other stuff as well, which i can’t really remember. oh well. it’s nice of him to get me something while he was away for training in Australia. i got this box of chocolates shaped like high heel shoes. super adorable. xD

anyway, we split ways after the meal - him to Spotlight, me to shopping! there’re new stores in P.S., zomg. o_O Cotton On is an Australian fashion label that seems to have quite an audience here in Singapore. so far since it established locally in August 2007, it seems to be quite popular. last week i was at the Wisma Atria outlet with Shaun; and it was flooded with people. its clothes are not very expensive; but then they’re mostly basics. now, if only we can get other stores like Anthropologie. or H&M. :3

i bought a couple of tops. including this grey one from The Box with a peter pan collar. mwahaha. i only noticed awhile later they had it in white with blue & lavender stripes. haha, but i still like the grey. the edc outlet at P.S. has sale items in stock. including this blouse in white/black/red! grabby motions. but i’m broke until next month; which is technically tomorrow. lol.

anyway, tomorrow is car-wash session number oh-one! fund-raising for FOC, obviously. meeting James, Jeanette and whoever else is showing up at freaking 7:30am at the train station to reach ECP at 9am. groans, i hope i manage to drag myself out of bed, honestly. i’m just going to put on old clothes and go wash cars big time. and work off calories or something. come one come all (no, seriously!). text me for details if you’re interested. we’re wooing big hearted willing car-owners and recruiting free laborers. … and i managed to finish the biz plan for the ice-cream sales idea we have in mind this afternoon. the ice-cream manufacturers i approach were only moderately helpful though.

i also finished reading a Fern Michaels book today while realizing midway that i’ve read it before. lol, how typical of me. but i must have read it some time ago for me to not realize until about one-quarter into the first story.

next week is busy busy busy still. i’m thinking of signing up as a volunteer for some National Library Board events. and there’s an upcoming Paparazzi meeting which i need to read up on the local media industry for, eeks. and 6th December evening - FOC chalet/bbq + handover party / Sherly’s housewarming party. ARRR, i totally didn’t notice. i am appalled by my forgetfulness. … as usual.

so right now, i’m going to go read a long Sandra Brown novel before bed, likely past midnight, and can’t get up early tomorrow morning. yay.
