fish, scallops and crab claws are love!

changed my blog theme, because i’m a bit annoyed with it myself. and sorry, Jinhe, i’m not that inclined to switch back to LiveJournal yet. xD

so i met up with Shaun today in town. it was supposed to be a strudel appreciation session, except we didn’t get to that course. bumped into Qinyan but couldn’t stop to chat because we were in a bit of a rush. xD;

ended up at the Chicago Steakhouse at Cineleisure for lunch. i was torn between the ocean platter or chicken baked rice for the entree; chose the former in the end. it was pretty good – fried fish, scallops and crab claws served with coleslaw and fries, and plentiful. but all the fried stuff got to me after a while. :3

i also tried clam chowder for what could possibly be the first time, and it tasted amazingly good. zomg. o_O and Shaun’s fireball steak was tres amusing. the staff came and served his steak and set it on fire. lol.

Shaun was telling me about his reading Friedrich Nietzsche recently. who sounds like a complete bastardly ignoranus (courtesy of my linguistics morphology lecturer) of a philosopher, if what Shaun tells me about his proclaiming a better world if women are treated as ‘mere property’ and live to pander to men’s whims and pleasures, is true.

after that, i went shopping. bought a new pair of Diva earrings and a Hula & Co top! then i dragged Shaun to the Orchard library so i can say goodbye because it closes end of this month. picked up  a few books while ignoring Shaun’s snarky comments about my unhealthy reading diet and lame jokes as i browsed. and lawled at some contemporary novels’ absurd plots. i must say one thing. contemporary novels tend to allow for more freedom of imagination. but i am wary of sexy NASCAR drivers, Navy SEALS, FBI agents, Marines and other superhero male leads by now. all part of the dangerous element of the profession, obviously.

lunch with Aur in town tomorrow. going to see if we can get slots for Japanese I1 without having to retake the test. grimaces. my next week looks pretty packed. FOC main comm meeting, sub comm meeting (if it happens), strudel with Shaun. FOC meeting timings seem to be changing all the time. right now the handover/BBQ looks to be on the 6th instead of the 7th next month.

i really should be fretting about next semester’s subject registration and course schedule already. not to mention resuming my driving lessons and studying for the final theory test. lalala, here’s where i wish my stickies to-do list still exists. :3
