falling in love with gyoza again

so there’s a new Hong Kong cafe open at the mall close to my place.
the menu prices are exorbitant, the items not that impressive (how can they not serve pineapple or custard buns!) and i never thought i’d try it.
but mom, Kazzie and i went for dinner there on Wednesday.

the food wasn’t fantastic.
i had baked rice with chicken and mushrooms, and the dish was unevenly distributed.
the rice was lumpy, the chicken was a big portion but dry as hell, the cheese stuck to the plate and there were two pathetic mushrooms.
my sister’s order looked terrible, the chicken and rice was all mushed together.
plus, the soup was oily. :3

and man, was the system screwed up.
you have to queue, place your order and then wait to get your drinks.
then you’re directed to an available table.
the kitchen is likely a mess of orders, and they can’t seem to get it right.
we got served an extra free bowl of dessert, and they nearly gave us another free plate of tofu. rolls eyes.
the staff were unsettled and confused, and it really drove me nuts to be in the middle of such disorder.
unless they sort it out, i doubt i’d return there any time soon.

tonight’s dinner was happier.
i had a craving for roti prata, but i wish the curry was spicier.
also had gyoza, which tasted pretty good (reminds me of the one at Maxwell) but a little too greasy. ♥

i saw another person carrying that brown Espirit bag i want in class today.

aloha, recess week.
bah, next week looks busy busy busy. o_O;
it somehow looks like i’m going to be heading out every bloody single day.
i should probably write all the plans down before i forget though. shifty eyes.
… meeting Aur at Clarke Quay tomorrow noon.

just finished reading my first Judith McNaught novel, Tender Triumph! ♥
and there’s Ghost Whisperer tonight! bounces.
