overdosed on Maxwell

so Saturday was a pretty kickass day.
lunch with Mint and Aur at Maxwell Food Center.
a last gathering amongst us 3 before Mint flies off to Canada on Monday.
(a nice coincidence how it seems like she’s on the same flight as my Dad too!)

had a coconut egg tart from Tong Heng.
and i always love wandering down the Chinatown streets. ♥

we had good hawker food but the fish porridge was disappointing though.
went to fry ham chim peng with Aur. xDDD so fun!!
i had my favorite local dessert ever - fruit cocktail + nata de coco.
bliss! and brings back lovely memories from working at Morris.
we usually end up having that or Rochor tauhuay in the late afternoons.
i loved the food in that area. ♥

anyway. then we parted ways, so i went shopping.
in time to beat the sales which end today. boo!
i actually found several items i liked, but i forced myself to exercise control. :/
sigh, would have loved to get a few pairs of shorts though.
anyhow, they should be enough to last me through the sem. ¬¬
it wasn’t a terrible concern of mine, but bah, when you’re around people who dress up …

Saturday dinner is always a big family affair.
Grandpa came back from the nursing home! ♥
there was like pizza, zomg, i finally tried the new Pizza Hut cheese thingy.

i also watched old American Idol and America’s Got Talent videos on YouTube. xDDD
from the first season of Talent, i especially liked the ventriloquist, Kevin Johnson’s Godzilla routine and his adorable vulture plush puppet, Clyde.
oh, and this band called At Last. their audition performance rocked.

today was spent ironing clothes while re-watching Music & Lyrics on DVD.
also finished a Linda Howard novel and had decent chicken rice for lunch.

went grocery shopping! bought Hershey’s Special Dark chocolate and sugarfree green apple & lemon candy.
oh! and tried Häagen-Dazs’s new Belgian Chocolate ice-cream!
hm, i want to check out Thomson Plaza again sometime soon, it renovated and looks promising. xD
not to mention that they have the Four Leaves bakery which serves delicious bread and pastries. ♥

Dad passed me his old Sony Ericsson Walkman phone. xD
it now has a Alice in Wonderland Cheshire Cat bell, which i got from the Tokyo Disneyland, dangling from it.
